The purpose of KYFCL, in conjunction with the KISD Athletic Department and local business sponsors, is to provide a quality football and cheerleading program to the youth of Kountze. The program will be developed and managed on the foundation of teaching the importance of academics, athleticism, team work, sportsmanship, character, courage, discipline, hard work, and self-esteem. KYFCL shall exist as an educational, non-profit youth sports program for the Kountze community. It is this association’s goal to bridge the gap between youth sports programs and the athletic programs of KISD. KYFCL strives to assist the KISD Athletics Program by preparing children for football and cheerleading competitions at the Jr. High School level.

We are currently registering for Flag Football, Tackle Football and Cheerleading. The first 25 Football players to register and pay are gauranteed a spot on a team. After the 25 we will have a waiting list. If we get to 36 we will split into two teams. Our next scheduled registration is Saturday 6/1/13 from 10-1 at the Kountze Library. . EVEN IF YOU REGISTER ONLINE YOU STILL NEED TO COME TO THE REGISTRATION, BUT REGISTERING ONLINE WILL SPEED UP YOUR TIME CONSIDERABLY.
